Obituary
Obituary of Bertha M Stevens
Bertha passed peacefully from this life on 4/16/17 to be with her Lord, and to be reunited with her loving husband, George H. Stevens and son, Richard P. Stevens who passed far too early of ALS. She is the beloved mother of George Gary Stevens and his wife, Michele Boyle Stevens. Bertha formally resided in Pennsauken for many years and then moved to Mt. Laurel. She made her home with her son and daughter-in-law, where she was lovingly cared for over the last four years. In addition to George and Michele, she is survived by her precious, beloved grandchildren: Danielle Prager (Steve), Richard Stevens ( Lauren), Gary Stevens ( Jessica), and Ryan Stevens (Fiance – Peri) and her adorable, loving great- grandchildren, Brayden, Henry, and Ashton. Bertha worked for Bamberger's in Cherry Hill and also volunteered for Virtua Hospital in Marlton for many years. However, her calling was "the best Mom Mom around". We cherish the many happy memories of Ocean City, Sunday dinners, Mom Mom's babysitting, and of course, the player piano, just to name a few.
Family and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, April 22nd from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30A.M. at Giosa Funeral Home, 171 Haddon Avenue, West Berlin. A service will follow at 10:30A.M. Burial will take place at Arlington Cemetery, Pennsauken.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The ALS Association or Samaritan Hospice, Marlton, NJ.
