Beloved husband of Jeanne Maurice (nee Fenner). Loving father of Matthew E. Maurice of Hopewell, NJ, Brendan A. Maurice of Hopewell, NJ and Rachel Barrucco (Dr. Robert) of Voorhees, NJ. Loving brother of Paul Maurice (Buffy) of Portland, OR. Loving grandfather of Nicholas and Viviana. He also leaves behind his dear friend who was like a daughter to him, Nichole LoPresti of Marlton, NJ. Art was a generous and caring man who adored his family, had a love for riding his bicycle, enjoyed a well-made gin & tonic, and was an enthusiastic Boston Red Sox fan. In his retirement, his days were filled with playful outings with his grandchildren, quality time with his adoring wife, road trips with his sons and enjoying the relaxation that retirement provided. Arthur was a political junkie and devoted his over 30-year career to improving the business climate in the State of New Jersey. He was known as one of the premier thought leaders in the state on economic development and taxation issues. He was most known for his role analyzing and debating the merits of the State Budget for several decades and was a trusted confidant of many legislators and policymakers on such issues. Art retried as President of Tonio Burgos & Associates in January 2015. Prior to his time at TB&A, Art served for 16 years as First Vice President at the New Jersey Business & Industry Association. For 14 years, Art was a staple in state and federal government agencies working as the Regional Director of the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development, Executive Director of the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency, and Deputy Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. Arthur began his career as a tax forecaster with the New Jersey Office of Legislative Services and as Budget and Policy Director for the General Assembly Republican Office. In addition, Art served in several Republican administrations and on the transition teams for Governor Christie, Governor Whitman and Governor Kean. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Thursday eve, 7:00 PM -9:00 PM, at Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Route 73, Marlton, NJ 08053.
