Obituary of Mary T. Deegan
Mary "Maureen" T. Deegan (nee McDade) slipped into God's loving arms April 7, 2016, at her home in Palmyra at the age of 83 years.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph G.Deegan. Devoted mother of Maureen A. (Skip) McGlashon
of Cinnaminson, Diane M. (Ed) Tevis of West Berlin, Joseph C. Deegan of Palmyra, and the
late Michael J. Deegan. Loving Grandmother of Mandy Leathers, Margo Leathers, Conor McGlashon, Carly Deegan, Cody Deegan and Clare McGlashon. Proud great-grandmother of Kendall Cole. Also survived by cousins Deirdre Dunne and Sheila Dunne and her devoted caregiver Abraham Ackah.
Maureen was born and raised in Phila. She graduated in 1950 from West Catholic Girls High School and was a proud member of the Alumni Association. In 1956, Maureen and Joe married and moved to Palmyra, where they raised their four children and became part of the community. They devoted many hours to help build Scared Heart Parish & School and even after retiring they continued to help others through fund raising efforts and personal assistance to Catholic Charities of Burlington County.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Wednesday (4/13) from 7 to 9 PM and again Thursday (4/14) from 9:15 to 10:30 AM at the Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad St., Riverton, NJ. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 103 4th St., Riverton. Followed by interment at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
Maureen's family requests in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory be made to Catholic Charities Community Services, 801 Burlington Ave. Suite G, Delanco, NJ 08075.
