Obituary of Patricia A. Fridolph

Patricia A. Fridolph (nee Decatur), age 80 died on March 25, 2015, at her residence in Jensen Beach, FL. Patricia was born in Middletown, OH to the late Alfred and the late Alma Decatur. Beloved wife of the late John W. Fridolph. Devoted mother of Catherine Matthews (Richard McDonald), Michael Fridolph, David Fridolph (Janine Fridolph) and Carol Fridolph Wiles (David Wiles). Loving Grandmother of Deidre Fridolph, Heather McGovern, Lindsey Eastwood, Brittany Fridolph, Brandon Matthews, David Fridolph and Karen Wiles. Proud Great-Grandmother of Sean, Brycen, Kendall and Liam. John Fridolph's job relocated Patricia and their family to NJ in 1965. After raising their children into their teens, Pat attended Glassboro State College where she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education. After working a few years she returned to school and earned a Master's Degree in Special Education from Temple University. Patricia started her teaching career at Medford Memorial Middle School, where she coached the girls' basketball team and helped lead them to a League Championship with a record of 20-0. She eventually retired from Marlton Middle School. When not teaching, Pat taught gymnastics at the local YMCA and life guarded at their neighborhood lake. Pat loved the water and enjoyed teaching both swimming and diving. She especially loved being in the water with her grandchildren and they all loved the games she made up both in and out of the water. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Pat's family Saturday (4/18) 9 to 10:30 AM at the Giosa Funeral Home, 171 Haddon Avenue, West Berlin. Memorial Services will begin at 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home, with Inurnment following at Berlin Cem. Mausoleum.
