Obituary of Rita V. Tevis
Rita V. Tevis (nee O'Hare), went to be with her Lord, her beloved husband Ed and son Keith on February 12, 2015, at Virtua Health and Rehab Center, Berlin.
Beloved wife of 62 years to the late Edwin W. Tevis, Sr. who predeceased her in 2012. Devoted mother of Ritamarie T. and her husband James Giosa, Edwin T. Jr. and his wife Diane Tevis all of West Berlin and the late Keith P. Tevis. Loving grandmother of Galen M. and his wife Julie A. Giosa of Marlton, Matthew E. and his wife Lori C. Giosa of Voorhees, AbigaiI E. and her husband Charles J. Trost III of Cedar Brook, Bradford T. and his wife Casey L. Giosa of Edison. Proud great-grandmother of Aly, Matthew, Ryan, Chalie and James. Dear sister of Michael O'Hare of Tallmansville, WV.
Rita was born and raised in Phil., moved to NJ, married Ed and they raised their family in West Berlin. As a young parent, Rita was a Cub Scout Leader, a frequent participant in ICCA July 4th parades and also served on the Twp. Juvenile Advisory Committee. She was an active member of the OLMC Altar and Rosary Society for many years and was later known for crocheting beautiful blankets and towels that held a prayer in every stich.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Monday evening 7 to 9 PM and again Tuesday morning 9:15 to 10:45 AM at St. Simon Stock Parish/ Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 178 W. White Horse Pike at Franklin Ave, Berlin. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin. In lieu of flowers, Rita's family requests donation in her memory be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Reg. School, 1 Cedar Ave. Berlin, NJ 08009, St. Andrew the Apostle Church 27 Kresson-Gibbsboro Rd.
