Obituary of Carl Jacob Braun
Carl Jacob Braun, Sr. of West Berlin age 86 years of West Berlin, on February 6, 2015, Carl could no longer fight the complications of Alzheimer Disease and went to be with his Lord and his late wife Julia M. (nee Graham) surrounded by his family..
Carl was the devoted father of Joseph T. Braun of West Berlin, Carl J. Braun, Jr. of Sicklerville, Lisa M. and her husband Niles Fox of Indianapolis, IN and the late Thomas J. and his wife Anita Braun of Blackwood. The loving and proud grandfather of eight and the dear brother of William Braun, Robert Braun, Joseph Braun, and Marie Seibel.
Carl was born and raised in Phila. Pa. Carl moved to West Berlin with his wife in 1960 where they raised their family. He was an expert cabinetmaker who worked for The National Products Comp in Old City Phila. for 27 years, then worked for 7years at Buehler Brothers Home Builders and back to National for another 10 years. They were long time members of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Carl was well known for his loyalty and dedication to his family, his faith, the art of cabinetmaking and his community as a member of the West Berlin Zoning-Planning Board from 1963 to 1984 and acting as the Chairman for more than 10 years. His cremation was held privately and services and interment are being planned for a later date.
