Obituary of Margaret Skorup
Margaret “Peggy” C. (nee Crawford) Skorup, formerly of Marlton, died November 22, 2021 with her loving family at her side, 91 years young. Predeceased by parents Agnes and Robert Crawford of Paulsboro, NJ. Survived by her brother, Robert Crawford (late Marge). Beloved wife of the late Gordon E. Skorup (married 59 years). Loving mother to Eileen (Mark) O’Rourke of Gibbsboro, Michael (Elizabeth) Skorup of Hockessin, DE, Kathy (Mike) Myers of King of Prussia, PA, Brian (Stefanie) Skorup of Virginia Beach, VA, and Thomas (Victoria) Skorup of Newtown Square, PA. Proud and loving Mom-mom to Jim (Nikki), Katie, Chris, Paul (Julie), Jeffrey, David (Sirin), Matthew, Jennifer, Kelly, Brigid, Maggie, Sophia and Ethan; Great-grandmother to Tristan, Taylor, Austin, Eleanor and Emmeline.
Peggy graduated from Camden Catholic High School and was a big Notre Dame fan. She worked at RCA in Camden where she met the love of her life on the elevator. Peggy was involved in PTA, Altar and Rosary Society and helped out at the St. Vincent de Paul Society with dad. Peggy was loved for her passion for life, which included her love of children and her work as a volunteer librarian at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel school for many years. There are many happy memories of Peggy and Gordo square dancing, ballroom dancing and doing the polka. She traveled the world with Gordo which included living in South Africa for 6 years. Peggy was known for her smile and her incredible ability to connect with people; she truly loved people especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewings on Monday evening from 7:00PM to 9:00PM and Tuesday morning from 9:30AM to 10:45AM at St. Simon Stock Parish/Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, White Horse Pike at Franklin Ave, Berlin. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 11:00am at the Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cem, Woodstown. Peggy's family requests in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Regional School, 1 N Cedar Ave, Berlin, NJ 08009 or Samaritan Life-Enhancing Care at Samaritan Gift Processing Center, PO Box 71425, Philadelphia, PA 19176-1425.
