Mary Elizabeth

(nee Lingle), went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2009, at Vitas Hospice Unit, Stratford, at the age of 69 years.
Beloved wife of 44 years. to Walter F. of Gibbsboro. Daughter of the late Russell M. Sr. and the late Mable Lingle. Devoted mother of Connie Glass-Birnbohm and her husband Don of Marlton, Michael W. and his wife Shelly Voorhees, and Danny and his wife Sue of Gibbsboro, Loving and proud grandmother of Steven, Danielle, Emily, Robby, Alyssa, Holly, and Skyler. Dear sister of the late Russell M. Lingle Jr. and Daniel W. Lingle of Vincetown. Also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved. 
Mary was born in Cherry Hill and grew up in Medford. She graduated from Rancocas Valley Regional High School, Mt. Holly Class of 1958. For 26 years she worked as a cashier in the cafeteria of Virtua Health West Jersey Hosp., Voorhees retiring in 2002. Mary looked at her time at the hospital as more than just collecting money, she viewed it as her ministry, giving her an opportunity to lighten the burdens and put a smile on the faces of patients, visitors and employees. She was an avid letter and card writer to everyone. In retirement, Mary enjoyed baby sitting her grandchildren, visiting flee markets especially out back at the Berlin Auction. She was a collector of dolls, cows, and many other items. Mary was a giving person who will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who knew her.
The family will greet relatives and friends Friday from 10:30 to 11am at the First United Methodist Church, (The same church where Walter and Mary exchanged their wedding vows to each other 44 years ago), 159 S. Main St., Williamstown, NJ. 08094, where her memorial service will begin Friday at 11 am. Mary's family requests in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory be made to the Animal Welfare Assoc. 509 Centennial Blvd. Voorhees, NJ 08043 or the First United Methodist Church at the above address.
