Jim (James) Giosa has been a Funeral Director for 35 years and is licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1973 from American Academy McAllister Institute of Mortuary Science in New York. Jim and his wife opened the Giosa Funeral Home in August  of 1981, following his internship and seven years of service as a funeral director with the Leonard Funeral Homes in Camden City.

A long time member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, OLMC Conference, Jim was also a lector and choir member at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Berlin. In addition to spearheading fundraisers for Our Lady of Mount Carmel Regional School in Berlin, he also served on that school board for 15 years. Other community service has included the Knights of Columbus, Lions Club, Berlin Township Zoning Board and the Berlin Township Board of Education for 12 years.

Jim resides in West Berlin with his wife, Ritamarie, MSN, RN and CPN she is the Assistant Dean of Nursing and Allied Health at Gloucester County College. Their full hearth includes four children, Galen and daughter-in-law Julie, Matthew and daughter-in-law Lori,  Abigail and son-in-law CJ, Bradford and daughter in law Casey Lynn, four grandchildren Alyssa Kiley, Matthew James, Ryan Joseph, Charles Joseph IV, James Bradford and two Mini-Daschunds, ‘Digger’ and ‘Baby.’

Jim’s hobbies are fresh and salt water fishing and cooking the catch!

The funeral profession is more than a job to Jim, and he has endeared himself to the families who call on him. He believes that every life is a special gift, one to be  honored and celebrated, and that his service does not end with the funeral.
